Alex is best known for her role as the voice of Lois on Family Guy, which she originated, in addition to writing and producing on the show for several seasons. Alyssa Potter graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Theater and Psychology. She was awarded the International Programs Scholarship to study at the Theatre Academy London, where she trained with Jan Haydn Rowles.
